Course Description: This course is designed for intermediate healthcare professionals seeking advanced training in postoperative care for clients undergoing plastic surgery. Participants should have prior knowledge of human anatomy and basic understanding of the postoperative industry. Throughout this intensive three-day program, students will gain comprehensive insights into the components and flow of the lymphatic system, scar tissue management, and the application of manual post-surgical manipulation techniques. Practical sessions include demonstrations and hands-on practice with live models to enhance skills in myofascial releases, varied modalities, and tools and equipment integration. Emphasis will be placed on integrating the Beckker Method into postoperative care routines to optimize client outcomes and promote efficient healing.
Attendance Admission Allowance: This course is intended for specific medical professionals who are well versed in PostOp treatments; ideally these professionals have been working within the field for at least 1 year. Prior experience in postOp is required to attend this course. This course is not for beginners. This course is intended for healthcare providers and bodyworkers who have a strong awareness of the body, the Body Altering Aesthetics Industry, and a client’s trauma remodeling process from Day 1-Week 8 in PostOp-Induration or Post-Plastic Surgery Manual Recovery. Â

- Learn advanced techniques for traditional lymphatic system activation and manual manipulation, comparing MLD to Incisional Evacuation.
- Explore the formation of scar tissue and collagen and strategies for effective management.
- Identify potential wound complications associated with plastic surgery procedures.
- Familiarize with the principles and flow of the lymphatic system through model demonstrations.
- Acquire proficiency in performing myofascial releases and utilizing varied modalities.
- Integrate tools and equipment, including cupping, to augment postoperative care practices.
- Gain practical experience in manual manipulation techniques on advanced postoperative clients.

- Day 1: Introduction to systemic anatomy, components, and flow of the lymphatic system. Traditional lymphatic system activation and manual manipulation techniques with model demonstrations.
- Day 2: Exploration of scar tissue formation, collagen dynamics, and plastic surgery wound complications. Introduction to the Beckker Method and practical sessions with live models.
- Day 3: Advanced techniques in myofascial releases, varied modalities, and tools and equipment integration. Hands-on practice with manual manipulation on advanced postoperative clients.

Post-Clinical Lab Assignment: Students are required to submit treatment plans for five client case studies, including two different treatments per client. Upon submission, students will complete a 25-question post-course exam and assessment to receive their course completion certificates. The duration for certificate issuance is contingent upon the timely submission of assignments and successful completion of assessments.
